![]() ![]() Download the romset for the system you are interested in.That is a huge difference, and it helps to start with a smaller subset, since we are not interested in hacked versions of games. ![]() What you will see, for instance, is that GOODSET has 8,900 roms for NES, while No-Intro will have 2,800 roms for NES. If you are interested in pure archival of everything that is out there, use GOODSET. No-Intro romsets do not have Hack versions of the game (which GOODSET versions do have). I will be blunt here and say that No-Intro datasets are probably the BEST romset you will find if you are interested in trimming your roms. If you've been doing emulation for years, you've probably seen a number of romsets out there, including GOODSET, only sets, No-Intro, etc. I know it is a question that comes up frequently, so I thought I would share what I have found to be a good approach. I've been doing emulation for a number of years, and only until recently did I really understand how to go about trimming my romsets of duplicates / hacks / betas / alphas / foreign regions. ![]()
